Reasons you might need a storage solution
There are several reasons you might need to store some or all of your belongings for a period of time.
Your exchange and completion dates are not on the same day. If you’re likely to have a delay between exchanging and completing on the sale of your property, some short-term storage for all your belongings is the ideal interim solution.
You’ve sold your property but have not found a new one yet. Similar to exchange and completion not being on the same day, you may need to store your belongings for a few weeks or months while you’re looking for the perfect new home.
You’re renovating your property. Whether it’s your existing property or your new one, it’s easier to renovate when your stuff isn’t in the way. Short-term storage for all your belongings or just the particular rooms being renovated will give you the space you need.
You’re downsizing. If you’re moving to a smaller property but don’t want to get rid of everything, a storage unit will come in handy for those belongings you can’t bear to part with. However, you might also want to read our downsizing guide for useful tips on how to declutter.
How we help you with storage
Step 1 – Assess how much storage you need
When you need some storage, we will visit your property and assess the size of storage container you will need. If we’re also doing your house removal, we can assess and quote for both removal and storage at the same time.
Step 2 – Get competitive quotes
We will then obtain some competitive quotes for you from our storage partner.
Step 3 – Move your belongings to storage
If you decide to go ahead, we’ll move the relevant belongings to the storage unit for you on the appointed date. This can be your moving date if we’re also doing your house move, or exchange date if you’re not completing straight away.
Step 4 – Transport your belongings to your home
When you no longer need your storage, we’ll bring your belongings home to you on the appointed date. This might be on your completion date or a few days later, or once you’ve finished renovations.

Moving home is a stressful process, but right from the start this company put me at ease. It was a last minute booking, but Daisy and Jodie made the process easy. On the day Daniel, Josh and Shannon were amazing, not once grumbling or complaining about any items (even some of the awkward plant pots we were taking!) and ensured the items were loaded in such a way to minimise any damage. Definitely 5 stars!! Communication from the start was concise with Jazz and Daisy constantly keeping me updated with costs and availability as my move date kept changing. The team of Daniel, Shannon, Steven and Ashley arrived on time and they were so professional and friendly and even wrapped several items that I had not included. I had dreaded getting a sofa out as it was awkward but it was not a problem for them they moved it no time. I have already booked them for another move later this year. Due to a kitchen refit we moved long stored items from our garage to a local storage facility. After prompt and helpful communication by mainly WhatsApp the items were moved without fuss by a pleasant young man who clearly knew what he was doing. Arrived with a clean Luton van promptly and was knowledgeable about the storage facility which helped. Seemed to make quick and light work of carefully stacking our items. Would recommend.
